Safety is our top priority. Progress Energy can help you keep your family and homes safe from electrical accidents caused by bad weather or unsafe conditions. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the National Electrical Safety Foundation (NESF) are urging consumers to look for and correct electrical safety hazards in their homes. Each year, electrical-related incidents result in more than 41,000 residential fires, claim about 370 lives and cause over 1,400 injuries. These incidents also cause more than $680 million in property damage annually.

This Safety Tips area is dedicated to help and inform our customers. You can help us protect you from electrical accidents by taking a few minutes to explore this section and by checking for unsafe conditions around your home.
