The 2004 hurricane season was an especially punishing one for Progress Energy Florida's service areas, marking the first time in recorded history that four hurricanes targeted the state with massive barrages of heavy wind and flooding rains over such a short time frame.

View this three-minute Hurricane Heroes video and a slide show, which shows some of the devastation from the hurricanes and features Progress Energy employees who pulled together as one team to achieve safe and efficient service restoration, often under very difficult circumstances.
