Progress Energy Florida is improving and expanding the Brooksville West substation in Hernando County.

Progress Energy will install a new transformer and other electrical equipment at the Brooksville West substation, at its current location at 13424 Cortez Blvd. Several transmission structures also will be replaced with concrete poles near the substation on Progress Energy property. Tree trimming will occur near the substation as needed.

Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2010. The project is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2011. Please remove any personal belongings or material stored in the right of way.

If you have questions about the project, please call Project Manager Aaron James at 727-939-4335.
