As Western North Carolina's energy needs continue to grow, Progress Energy Carolinas is engaging a panel representing numerous perspectives -- from government and industry to renewable energy companies and the environmental community -- to help the company in implementing aggressive energy-efficiency programs and to advise the company on plans to meet the region's electricity demands reliably, affordably and in an environmentally sound manner.

Upcoming meeting May 9
The May meeting of CEAC will be held Friday, May 9 at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce board room. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. As usual, this meeting will be open to the public and will include a public comment period. View the meeting agenda.
