Maintenance technicians
The scholarship assists students in completing a two-year associate's degree at a community college in a major relevant to the power industry. Selected students are eligible for temporary part-time paid employment at a designated power plant. Upon graduation, Progress Energy extends job offers based upon the student's academics, job evaluations, experience and vacancies.
