Renewable energy, including solar, holds exciting potential for the future. Your school could be a part of exploring that potential today – through the Progress Energy SunSense schools program.
This solar education program is the first of its kind in the Carolinas, and is designed to give middle and high school students and faculty a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn more about solar energy. Five winning schools will receive a two-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system installed by Argand Solar on their campus along with Internet tracking equipment that shows the real-time energy output. Progress Energy is proud to partner with the Carolina Hurricanes’ Kids ‘N Community Foundation to bring this exciting opportunity to local schools.
