STEP 1
Choose an official ENERGY STAR builder. Then from
progress-energy.com/eehome, select NC Energy Star builders.

STEP 2
Work with an ENERGY STAR builder to create a plan for building your new Home Advantage Home to meet ENERGY STAR requirements.

STEP 3
You or your builder will work with the home energy rater to inspect and test your home during and after construction to meet ENERGY STAR requirements. Get a list of raters by visiting progress-energy.com/eehome.

STEP 4
The home energy rater provides an ENERGY STAR certificate.

STEP 5
The builder or home energy rater will send your ENERGY STAR certificate to Progress Energy to qualify your home for your 5 percent discount.
