  • The Lee Plant is located in Goldsboro, N.C., with three coal-fired units and four combustion turbine units capable of producing approximately 498 MW. The first coal unit began operating in 1951.
  • The Lee Plant had the second U.S. installation of Russian WIR technology, which reduces emissions of nitrogen oxides.
  • The Wayne County Plant is also located near Goldsboro, N.C., and has four combustion turbine units capable of producing approximately 668 MW. The plant began operation in 2000.
