SC Standard Option Toolkit

Sell energy from qualifying generation up to 5 MW

Customers of Duke Energy Progress may sell the electricity generated by their renewable resources by directly interconnecting the system to the grid.  Below is a step-by-step outline for interconnecting and contracting to sell energy from a Qualifying Facility with generating capacity up to 5 MW.  For South Carolina renewable resources smaller than 20 kW, please click here.

Request Approval to Interconnect

All Duke Energy Progress customers that install renewable generation who intend to interconnect or operate in parallel with the utility grid must adhere to all requirements and conditions within the SC Interconnection Standard.  Customers that own qualifying generation facilities such as solar and wind with nameplate capacity up to 5 MW will begin the interconnection process by reviewing the Interconnection Standards and then submitting an Interconnection Request.
