Step 2: Schedule your energy assessment at a time that is convenient for your business.
Step 3: Lime Energy will review the results of your energy assessment including the recommended energy-efficient improvements and projected savings.
Step 4: Schedule the installation of your energy-efficient improvements. Project installations are always worked into your schedule at your convenience.
Step 5: Minimal cost, immediate savings and speedy payback. You pay as little as 20 percent of the cost of the project and Duke Energy Progress will pick up the rest. And, when you consider that your energy bill savings can exceed 20 percent every month, your upgrades quickly pay for themselves.
Eligibility: The Small Business Energy Saver Program is available to any Duke Energy Progress business customer with a demand of 100 kW or less.
The Small Business Energy Saver Program offers eligible commercial customers the opportunity to retrofit existing inefficient equipment with more energy-efficient measures. The program provides turn-key services including energy assessments, up to 80 percent incentives to offset the cost of projects, and education to encourage the replacement of existing equipment with improvements in lighting, refrigeration, and HVAC.
The program is available to existing individually metered buildings occupied by a commercial business with an annual demand requirement of 100 kW or less that cannot be classified as new construction.
The property owner and tenant must agree to the terms and conditions of the program, sign the landlord agreement form provided by the vendor and return it for processing.
Yes, the energy assessment is designed to provide recommendations based on your business type and operating hours. The assessment will provide customers with unique information that will help make the right improvements for their business. The energy assessment is no additional cost to the customer.
Coverage for up to 80 percent of all materials and installation costs on select lighting and refrigeration improvements and up to 10 percent on eligible HVAC upgrades.
Duke Energy Progress has determined customized and comprehensive solutions to optimize savings after the results of the free energy assessment. Based upon the recommendations to improve the energy efficiency of your business, you may choose from the measures recommended to you by Lime Energy.
In order to take advantage of this Duke Energy Progress program, you must use Lime Energy, our single dedicated partner for both energy assessments and installations.

Our program is designed to reduce your upfront costs and eliminate the need to wait for a rebate. Duke Energy Progress will pay up to 80 percent of the installation cost directly to Lime Energy, our program partner. For the remainder, you can pay in a lump sum or you can work with Lime Energy on extended payment options.
