Are you moving outside of Duke Energy Progress service area and need to cancel service for your residence? Please log in to your Duke Energy Progress account to stop service and billing.

You will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Date you need the service turned off
  • Mailing address (where will the final bill be mailed)

Move service

We appreciate your business and we want to help make your move as easy as possible. Complete the appropriate online form below to transfer your electric service if:

You currently have service with Duke Energy Progress and are moving to a new residence served by Duke Energy Progress:

You will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Date you need the service turned off at the new address
  • Physical new service address (where you need the service turned on)
  • Primary phone number
  • Authorized person (spouse / roommate information)
  • Mailing address (if different from the physical address)
  • Date you need the service turned on at the new location

Duke Energy Progress will assess a non-refundable $17 (North Carolina) or $15 (South Carolina) connect fee for all newly activated electric accounts.
