Sunsense Schools

Important Update: Duke Energy Florida will continue offering our solar pilot programs during 2015. Please continue to monitor the SunSense webpage for more information.

Now you can help students learn about the importance of renewable energy. As a residential customer, you can participate in SunSense® Schools – a program that helps provide funding for energy education and photovoltaic (PV) solar panels for schools. The program:

  • Provides teachers and students with valuable interactive learning experiences.
  • Awards PV systems to public schools through a competitive selection process. Find out how schools can apply to receive a PV system. See a complete list of 2011 winners.
  • Is easy to support and requires no out-of-pocket expense from you.
