Are you moving outside of Duke Energy's service area and need to cancel service for your residence? To stop service and billing please log in to your Duke Energy account.

You will be asked to provide the following information:
  • Date you need the service turned off
  • Mailing address (where will the final bill be mailed)

Move service

We appreciate your business and we want to help make your move as easy as possible. Complete the appropriate online form below to transfer your electric service if:

You currently have service with Duke Energy and are moving to a new residence served by Duke Energy:

You will be asked to provide the following information:  

  • Date you need the service turned off at the current location
  • Physical new service address (where you need service turned on)
  • Primary phone number
  • Authorized person (spouse / roommate information) 
  • Mailing address (if different from the physical address)
  • Date you need the service turned on at the new location

Duke Energy Florida will assess a non-refundable $28 connect fee for all newly activated electric accounts.

Since electricity is billed after it is used, we may require a security deposit before completing your request for service. We will perform a credit check to determine if a deposit is required for new Duke Energy customers, as well as former or existing customers.  If a deposit is  required, the amount requested is based on an average of two months bills over the last 12 months of billing history at the location.  Example: if the average bill is $100 per month during the previous 12 months, the deposit required will be $200.
